Water quality and health: Review of turbidity
0 comments
This technical brief provides information on the uses and significance of turbidity in source water and drinking-water. Practical guidance is provided on the implications of turbidity for water safety at each step of the water supply chain, from catchment through to the point of use.
This document supports WSP implementation by providing practical guidance on how turbidity can be used as an operational monitoring parameter to assess source water quality, treatment performance, disinfection effectiveness and distribution system integrity. It also helps WSP teams define turbidity targets, monitoring frequencies and corrective actions to strengthen risk-based management from catchment to consumer.
